Montverde Academy rising junior Samar Kaddoura recently took a major step toward her goal of becoming a physician by participating in the prestigious Future Physicians America (FPA) program. Led by board-certified practicing physician Dr. Latha Ganti, the FPA program is designed for highly motivated students aspiring to pursue combined BS/BA-MD tracks and offers a rigorous introduction to the medical field.

During the program, Samar gained invaluable hands-on clinical experience and earned certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA), American Stroke Association (ASA), and American College of Surgeons (ACS) training. The immersive curriculum is taught exclusively by practicing physicians who also serve on medical school faculty, collectively bringing over 45 years of experience to the program.

In addition to clinical training, Samar completed three independent research projects, each of which will be published as first-author contributions in peer-reviewed medical journals indexed in PubMed. She also presented her clinical research at the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine conference at the University of Central Florida, where she earned 2nd place among 35 high-achieving students from across the nation. Her work was further recognized with the Outstanding Researcher Award, a distinction granted for excellence in research and presentation.
