Montverde Academy proudly announces the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2023. Trevor Turnquist is this year’s Valedictorian, and Siddhartha Somani is the Salutatorian.

Trevor Turnquist is the president of Montverde Academy’s Honor Council and serves on the Leadership Huddle for the MVA chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a member of the ModelUN team, he plays for the lacrosse team, and he is a Youth Ambassador for the Tourette Association of America.
Trevor Turnquist 在蒙特沃德学院担任荣誉委员会主席，他是基督教运动员联谊会MVA分会的领导小组成员。他还是模拟联合国协会的成员，长曲棍球队的队员，同时他还担任了美国妥瑞症协会的青年大使。
He has taken a total of 14 Advanced Placement courses at MVA and is grateful for the support of his teachers. “The Montverde Academy faculty helped support me when my tics interfered with school. They understood my condition and provided guidance when times got rough,” Trevor said.

Trevor has committed to the Honors Program at the University of Florida where he plans to double major in computer science and electrical engineering. After his undergraduate degree, he plans to pursue a PhD and hopes to work in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and robotics.

Siddhartha Somani is the president of the Science National Honor Society and is a member of the math club and programming club, and he plays golf for International Junior Golf Academy. He runs a nonprofit organization, Wings for Youth, in his hometown of Udaipur, India, and volunteers as a golf coach at the nonprofit First Tee. He is also a peer tutor for standard coursework and SAT prep at his golf academy. He is currently interning with a business-to-business software service provider and is developing a task management app.

He has taken a total of 10 Advanced Placement courses at MVA and thanks the programs and teachers who have helped him to achieve his goals. “The various programs at MVA have enabled me to engage myself in multi-faceted student projects alongside a diverse peer group and maintain my academic rigor throughout high school. MVA teachers have not only helped me realize what my true passions are within the fields of STEM, but also the type of diligence and work ethic needed to pursue those interests. Serving as constant mentors and advisors, the teachers at MVA have shown me how to problem solve effectively and address issues that are applicable on a higher scale,” Siddhartha said.

Siddhartha has committed to Georgia Tech where he plans to major in computer engineering and potentially pursue a minor in finance or other business-related area. After college, he plans to pursue a career in quantitative finance, harnessing his skills in finance, computation, engineering, and programming, and create his own startup that will hopefully transform into a full company under his name.
Siddhartha 已经承诺就读佐治亚理工学院，他计划在那里主修计算机工程，并可能辅修金融或其他商业相关领域。大学毕业后，他计划从事定量金融方面的职业，利用他在金融、计算、工程和编程方面的技能，创建属于自己的公司，并有望最终转型为一家以他的名字命名的完整公司。
