This summer, rising tenth grader Ethan Salka explored various aspects of creativity, robotics, and engineering.
In June, Ethan visited The LEGO House, Home of the Block in Billund, Denmark. While in Germany, he visited the Berliner Headquarters and Factory where he learned about stainless steel cable fabrication and playground equipment manufacturing.
In July, he completed an engineering camp at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Among the experiences while there, he toured the Ford Motor Company’s Rogue Factory and saw how robots are used in the manufacturing process.
These experiences deepened his knowledge and appreciation of robotics, STEM, and engineering. This fall, Ethan will start his fourth year in robotics at MVA.
